Jonathan Bydlak, President

A pioneer in the field of political fundraising, Jonathan got his start in politics as director of fundraising on Ron Paul’s 2008 Presidential campaign, where he oversaw a fundraising operation that raised more than $35 million, the majority of which was online via the application of social media. With a background in economics, Jonathan founded the Institute for Spending Reform in 2012 to spread awareness about the need for responsible fiscal policy and balanced budgets. A former hedge fund investment analyst, he is originally from Massachusetts and holds an A.B. in economics with minors in finance and political economy from Princeton University.


Rebekah Bydlak, Executive Director

A longtime political activist and organizer, Rebekah earned her master’s degree in political science and public administration from the University of West Florida before beginning full-time work for the Institute. She manages organizational development and strategy, as well as serving as spokesperson for the Institute, overseeing programs, and managing daily written communications.

 


Jake Grant, Outreach Director

Jake joins the Institute from San Diego State University, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and minors in Psychology and Economics. He has been involved with various political organizations over the years and is an energetic advocate for spending reform. In his free time, he enjoys following the San Francisco Giants to their away games around the East Coast, cooking, and going to the gym.

 


Alex Tottser, Development & Communications Associate

Alex is a recent graduate from Gettysburg College with a political science major and history minor. He has spent time working at his Congressman’s district office, the American Conservative Union, and the Intercollegiate Studies Institute. In addition, he has spent time serving in leadership positions at Gettysburg College’s Young Americans for Liberty and College Republicans. Outside of work, he enjoys woodworking and music.
